Back to back sofas have become quite popular over the last few years - especially with the gain in popularity of the open-concept floor plan. The look works in larger, loftier spaces when two conversational areas are desired. Often times designers use the same sofa, back to back - others commission custom pieces (with the sofa backs built together). We've even seen designers use two very different sofas to evoke a more eclectic aesthetic. We love Windsor Smith's back to back sofa arrangement (see photo above), incorporating her own line of furniture. We were fortunate enough to meet Windsor last month at one of her speaking engagements, she is an absolute sweetheart!
Back to Back Couches:
We love Sarah Richardson's take on this arrangement in her London project, featured in the latest issue of House & Home.
