St. Patrick's Day
Still all about green?
It is almost St. Patrick's Day, so GHID wants to wish you a premature Happy St. Patrick's Day!
St. Patty's Day is no longer just about leprechauns, wearing green, or drinking green beer - it's now all about the quatrefoil! Coincidentally Garrison Hullinger Interior Design's logo is a quatrefoil, and a Wikipedia fun fact about the word quatrefoil is that the word means "four leaves" in Latin, reminding me of a days around St. Patty's Day that I would go on the hunt for a lucky four leaf clover in my yard. No longer do you need to search in the yard for a lucky four leaf clover, because you can just search for the quatrefoil in interior decor!
GHID Is Leaving Their Mark In Interior Design
The natural wood framed quatrefoil mirror that's styled above the bedside table adds an appealing geometric compliment to the mixed patterned pillows.
The quatrefoil mirrored credenza and quatrefoil lumbar pillow add a repetitive pattern in this traditional meets mid-century space.
Every aspect of this space has some sort of structured shape to it, so it was cleverly designed to utilize the quatrefoil in the coffee table to continue featuring geometric shapes throughout the space.
This space features clean structural lines paired with a few statement peices of furniture like the circular quatrefoil drum table. The drum table adds a tiny touch of pattern to this space, staying true to the light, bright and airy feeling of this room.
I love the way that the photographs on the wall tell a architectural historic story and are paired with the complimentary quatrefoil chair back. Interestingly enough, the quatrefoil shape can often times be found in ancient architecture which helps pull the photos into this space.
This room features various fabrics and textures which are complimented by the gold accessories on the wall and side table. The quatrefoil lamp helps add a special detail to the collection of bedside accessories.
Although this room is neutral in nature, this space is pulled together by adding pops of orange and geometric shapes like circles, quatrefoil to create an interconnected space.
