In Celebration Of National Dance Day I'm a huge fan of the TV show, So You Think You Can Dance, which is where I first heard of National Dance Day (NDD). NDD is almost here, so to help celebrate the creative day, I've decided to showcase the two time Emmy award winning So You Think You Can Dance TV host, Cat Deeley's interior decor. Before we take a closer look at her fabulously designed home, let's learn really quickly about the Dizzy Feet Foundation.
Launched in 2010 by “So You Think You Can Dance” co-creator and Dizzy Feet Foundation co-president Nigel Lythgoe, National Dance Day is an annual celebration that takes place on the last Saturday in July. This grassroots campaign encourages Americans to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health and combat obesity. NDD achieved national recognition when Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), a long-time proponent of healthy lifestyles, announced at a press conference on July 31, 2010, in Washington, D.C., that she was introducing a congressional resolution declaring the last Saturday in July to be the country’s official National Dance Day.

Cat Deeley's Interior Decor Influence
The Emmy-nominated So You Think You Can Dance host, Cat Deeley showed off her boho-chic Beverly Hills home! She says that her fashion sense has influenced her home decor. She loves vintage shopping, so when she travels around the U.S. for auditions, she makes sure to visit the best vintage furniture and dress shops. Cat's open floorplan really comes to life with this large circular leather sofa, fit for great home entertaining. Each space in her home is personalized to her, because she didn't hire an interior designer, she went out and found these gorgeous boho chic vintage pieces.
Cat describes her taste as romantic bohemian. Among her many travels, she had to have the bedding from the luxurious San Ysidro Ranch in Monetecito; you'd have to stay at the ranch to be able to put in an offer on the bedding, because I scoured the internet trying to find the bedding with no success.
I love the overall simplicity of Cat's home, because it isn't over the top and seems attainable to recreate in your own home.
This mirror is to die for, is it not? I'm also a huge fan of her clever idea of using tree stump cuttings as a little platform for her and her husbands' lotions and colognes.
Cat wanted to make sure that when she came home, she didn't feel like she was in a hotel, so she incorporated personalized decor.

From Domaine Home
The look of it (the hotel) is completely timeless. It harks back to this über-glamorous era when starlets were incredibly feminine, and I think it’s a very feminine place.
