July was a great month for Garrison Hullinger Interior Designers, because we were able to successfully pull together our first Street of Dreams home, attend numerous industry events, have new client meetings, and find the time to take mini-vacations before the Street of Dreams kicked off. GHID wants to thank each and every one of our vendors, artisans and partnerships we have, because all of you have helped and do help our projects run smoothly and result in beautiful end products. We're going to look back at some of our highlights from our busy, yet fun month of July.
Sneak Peek Marketing Photo Shoot Of The Street of Dreams
On July 1, we gathered our troops to set up the rec room in The American Dream home for a preliminary photo shoot before the show started. We were able to use photos from this shoot that Blackstone Edge photography took for Street of Dreams marketing materials and some fun sneak peeks for you guys! If you didn't see our sneak peeks, visit this blog for some interior design eye candy.
Luxe Interiors + Design Pacific Northwest (PNW) Battle Of The Chefs
There was quite the chatter on our Facebook page when GHID mentioned that Garrison would be cooking in the kitchen and not designing. Low and behold, Garrison was a crucial part of the team, because he was "borrowing" all of the ingredients that Chef Adam Higgs of Acadia needed to make a killer meal. We were so honored to be selected to be a part of the charity event, Battle of the Chefs, hosted by Luxe Magazine and Standard TV + Appliance; proceeds benefit the Providence Center for Medically Frail Children. Team Chef Adam Higgs won Best Presentation!
Street of Dreams Set Up & Finishing Touches
The 38th Annual NW Natural Street of Dreams opened on July 27 and will run through August 25 at Stonehedge in West Linn, OR. The American Dream was built by Westlake Development and designed by GHID; The American Dream is the first ever Made in America home on the Street of Dreams that boasts impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail. There are countless benefits that Americans reap by using Made-In-America products, such as a higher quality end product, supporting the local economy and lowering our carbon footprint. GHID is proud to say that Gerald’s motto “buy local, build local” has resulted in one of the lowest carbon footprints of a home built in a Street of Dreams home.
