Serving Up Style Countdown
Serving Up Style (SUS) is only two weeks away! This week, we’ve interviewed Garrison’s right-hand designer for this project, Alison Van Delden. She's letting us into her creative mind to better understand what we can expect from GHID’s 2013 vignette titled, COLORbomb. If you are asking yourself what SUS is and what GHID’s involvement is with this event, visit this page for more information.
The Inspiration Behind Our Design
“Technicolor. We want to take this colorful concept of an ever-evolving palette and embrace a life lived in Technicolor.”
The Element Our Showcase Was Designed Around
“We fell in love with a DIY project of using Japanese washi tape to add color into your life. We ran with this concept and decided to make our dining table pop with Technicolor by covering it entirely in washi tape. It will be a sight to see!”
Famous People Or Celebrities That Would Eat At Our Table
“Elton John & David Furnish come together with David Bowie & Iman with four of their best friends to have a feast filled with color and laughter.”
What Meal Would Be Served At Your Table?
“This would be a meal of imagination, picture having dinner in Peter Pan’s Neverland where food and substance doesn’t exist, unless you imagine it. But when you do, the meal becomes a feast of COLOR only the imagination could dream up… and let’s be honest, most likely leading to a COLORbomb food fight at the end.”
