Designers Decorate A Winter Wonderland For A Great Cause, The Angel Tree Project

Designers That Decorate For Christmas

Angel Tree

Every child has a story. For 2.7 million American children, that story is filled with the abandonment, loneliness and shame that come from having a mom or dad in prison. For many, it may also include following their parents down the same destructive road to incarceration.

Angel Tree, a program of Prison Fellowship, reaches out to the children of inmates and their families. This unique program gives your church an opportunity to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the families of prisoners.

Garrison Hullinger Interior Design has been a part of Angel Tree for three years. In previous years, Garrison has only donated the few designers he had on the staff, but this year, Garrison donated the time of all designers and admin staff, and other various decorations to this wonderful organization. We spent the entire day helping the Vancouver, Washington chapter of Angel Tree decorate a winter wonderland for their guests to enjoy. The program at the Lighthouse Church has grown substantially; from 50 guests in the first year, to over 300 guests this year.

During our complimentary lunch, Sid shared some very touching stories to help put into perspective how this organization has changed the lives of little kids and young adults. Parents that are unable to leave the confines of jail, are now able to show their children that they love them and are thinking of them.
