In an interview with Catherine at Zillow, Garrison shared his expertise on the kitchen triangle saying that, "kitchen designs are moving away from the traditional setup, in which the fridge, sink, and stove form an imaginary triangle." GHID's clients are often times "tell us the kitchen is command central for all the family’s activities. So I (he) try to create different zones — one for kids, one for cooking, and one for the whole family to gather."

When we began designing our clients' Street of Dreams home, we knew that the core of this home was to design for a busy family. The entire design layout for the living room, kitchen and outdoor area was so that Barbara Godzyk could keep a close eye on her three active kids. She gave us four directives in the directives in the design and completion of the 6,100 sq. ft. home, and one was in relation to the kitchen, "the kitchen should serve as 'command central' with views to the great room through to the entry and to the outdoor living space and pool."
