Garrison Hullinger Interior Design Wants Quality Products For Our Clients

neutral home decor, gorgeous eclectic furniture, wicker and bamboo inspired home decor

One of the most important elements of GHID's design is the story behind the pieces we put in our client's home. This year at market, it was a breath of fresh air to discover and learn about new companies that stand behind their product made right here in the locally in the US. From Lucite antlers & trays made completely out of local materials in LA by Grace & Blake to walnut & powder-coated metal tables and stools hand-made in Ohio with love by Tronk. (Well I just assume its made with love, but you get the point). We thoroughly enjoyed meeting these two artisans (& many more) who are out to set this trend to localize product & bring manufacturing back to the states. Can't wait for High Point!

Bright colors were a major trend this year - of course many manufacturers were showing displays of "Radiant Orchid- 2014 Pantone color of the year." But some of the most beautiful showrooms were the ones with more subtle colors, and those with just pops of color and contrast.  Here are a few of those ones we loved.

No Color, No Problem! Lucite Home Decor Taken To The Next Level

Speaking of "subtle hues" these Lucite cubes and trays are coming to a GHID showroom near you! We la-la-la-LOVED them and the sculptural deer antlers.

Made In America Furniture Company Takes Home Decor To Another Level

refurbished made in america furniture, craigslist finds turned into great home decor, certificate of authentication

One of the best things about being at a market shopping for items versus browsing the catalogs is that you hear the story behind the products. One of our favorites was Stanley Furniture creating a hall of refurbished Stanley Furniture pieces. They searched high and low around the country for their furniture in homes and purchased them back. Then the made in America manufacturer refinished the period pieces back to their original quality.  Each piece comes with the certificate of authentication, and some even had their original furniture brochure.

Come visit our showroom, we're going to be getting some fabulous finds from market into our showroom!
